Question 1

Why a subscription at all?

Accepted Answer

The Visitor tier is free forever. Local and Patron exist for players who want daily practice and challenges - nothing in the town is locked.

Question 2

Do I have to subscribe?

Accepted Answer

No. The free Visitor tier never expires. Roam towns, chat, build a house, and use 15 coach practices each month. Local and Patron add more daily practice. They are not a paywall on the town.

Question 3

How does coach feedback work?

Accepted Answer

Coaches run short quizzes and chat so you can practice producing sentences. Feedback is AI-scored to keep the loop moving. It can be wrong sometimes. Treat it as practice, not a perfect tutor. Voice practice uses the mic to transcribe what you say, then discards the recording.

Question 4

Which languages can I learn?

Accepted Answer

Pick the language you know and the one you are learning at signup. LangTown supports common study languages such as Spanish, French, Japanese, and Korean. Town coaches practice with you in your learning language.

Question 5

Is LangTown on iPhone?

Accepted Answer

Not yet. LangTown is an Android app on Google Play. You can also explore in a browser at langtown.app. Paid plans bill through Google Play.

Question 6

Will I lose my progress if I cancel?

Accepted Answer

Cancel anytime in your Google Play account. Your town, house, and rubies stay with your account. You return to Visitor practice limits.

Question 7

Who is LangTown for?

Accepted Answer

Casual learners who want to brush up or stick with a language past two months. Not directed to children under 13. Not a workplace-English tutor.
