LangTown Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 28, 2026

LangTown is a language-learning game. This privacy policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.

Data we collect

How we use data

Sharing

We use processors such as Supabase (backend), RevenueCat / Google Play (billing), PostHog (usage analytics), Google Analytics on the website when you consent (not in the Android app), and an AI provider for practice content and speech transcription. We do not sell personal data.

Delete your LangTown account

You can permanently delete your LangTown account and the personal data tied to it. This cannot be undone.

In the app (fastest):

  1. Open LangTown and sign in.
  2. Go to Profile → Account (or Settings).
  3. Choose Delete account, then confirm Delete my account.

By email:

  1. Email [email protected] from the address on your LangTown account.
  2. Use the subject line Delete my LangTown account.
  3. Include your display name and, if you know it, the email used to sign in.

After we verify the request, we delete or anonymize your account profile, progress, inventory, houses, practice history, and related personal data within 30 days, unless a short retention is required by law (for example fraud prevention or tax/accounting records). Guest-only progress stored only on a device is removed when you clear app data or uninstall.

Deleting your LangTown account does not cancel a Google Play subscription by itself. Cancel Local or Patron in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions (or your Google account subscriptions page).

Delete data without deleting your account

If you want some or all of your personal data removed but wish to keep playing, email [email protected] with the subject Delete my LangTown data and describe what you want removed (for example display name, chat history, or practice history). We will confirm what we can delete while leaving your account usable, and complete verified requests within 30 days.

Children

LangTown is not directed to children under 13.
